Amy Barrett is an intuitive abstract painter who lives and works in Clermont, FL. Her art flows with vibrant colors and intricate layers to create a harmonious and uplifting experience.

After earning a degree in Zoology, Amy spent several years as an Animal Keeper working with hippos and rhinos before waking up one day with a curious urge to paint. She signed up for her first acrylic workshop and was happily surprised by what she created in class, as well as both the highs and lows experienced during the painting process.

Amy spent the next decade exploring different mediums and developing her own unique style. Her method of choice has become intuitive acrylic painting in which she allows her art to unfold naturally and from the heart. She has also recently discovered digital collage which connects her love of art with her science and education background. Her latest collection “Science of Healing” was inspired by her personal inquiry into how science and spirituality intersect.

Amy has exhibited artwork in businesses throughout Central Florida in addition to several shows at SOBO Gallery in Winter Garden, FL.
